Apple pie (AF)

Converter & Cheat sheet

First recorded in 14th-century England, apple pie is now a staple where apples grow. A beloved dessert across Europe and the US, it holds a special place in culinary history. American apple pies are notably sweeter than their European counterparts.

You need…

  • A basket with no holes, suitable for your airfryer
  • 2 Apples
  • Olive oil
  • 1/2 dl Sugar
  • Cinnamon
  • 3 dl Corn flakes
  • Granulated sugar
  • 0.75 dl Wheat flour
  • Slightly less than 2 tbsp Almond flakes
  • 0.75 dl Butter

How to do…

  • Slice 2 peeled apples
  • Spray the basket with a little olive oil
  • Melt the butter
  • Place the slices in the pan
  • Sprinkle sugar and cinnamon over the apple pieces
  • Mix: lightly crushed corn flakes, granulated sugar, wheat flour, the almond flakes and the melted butter
  • Spread the mix over the apples
  • Bake at 180 °C for 10 minutes

You can of course replace the apples with whatever you usually have in a dessert pie,
note: bake time may change.

Tip: In Sweden we almost always have Vanilla sauce with the dessert pies.

Enjoy!
